Technical Presentation

The SPE- Another Perspective Technical Presentation is to be held on the 7th of April.
Title: The role of coupled Geomechanics-Fluid Flow Reservoir Modelling for Water Injection Performance Prediction.
Speaker: Maria Jimenez, Principal Production Technologist, Senergy Ltd

The challenge of water injection performance prediction has traditionally been tackled by the use of reservoir simulation models, in which case static fractures or matrix injection with improved permeability have been assumed, potentially leading to high levels of inaccuracy. This presentation outlines the importance of considering the influence of the reservoir stress state over the injectivity when modeling water injection processes.

The purpose of the evening is to increase awareness, share knowledge and entertain views and ideas by taking questions and exchange experiences within one of the industry’s most up coming disciplines.

Venue: Douglas Hotel, Aberdeen.
Time: 6.30pm for 7.00pm start
Price: £5 for SPE/EI/PESGB members, £7 non members and students free. A supplement of £2 will apply to bookings less than 24 hours before the event.

Bookings: secure advanced booking at the Hulse Rodger website  or telephone 01224 495051.
